1. To track international standardisation efforts in Intelligent Transport System (ITS), namely ISO Technical Committee (TC204) standards;
2. To encourage regular communications among local policy makers, industry, academia and consumers to establish a common ITS standards for Singapore;
3. To promote more participations of ITS stakeholders in Singapore;
4. To adopt, in part or full, relevant ITS standards and good practices that would meet local demands and also help local companies, who have participated actively in the standards process, to gain an advantage over others in term of system interoperabilities in the global economies;
5. To develop a common ITS standard for Singapore; and
6. To witness interest levels that would allow the TC to participate as a ‘Permanent’ member (with voting rights) in the ISO standards development programmes.
